Murder Mystery
"And Then There Were None"
coming to HFCS Stage

HFCS Drama Club to perform "And Then There Were None" this weekend

The Hoosick Falls Central School Drama Club will perform their fall production "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie this Friday and Saturday at 7PM, and Sunday at 2PM. As in the past, the evening will open with two short comedies before continuing to the main show. And we continue to offer free admission for all performances!

The story of "And Then There Were None" is fairly simple: Ten people, each with something to hide and something to fear, are invited to a lonely mansion on Soldier Island by a host who, surprisingly, fails to appear. On the island they are cut off from everything but each other and the inescapable shadows of their own past lives. One by one, the guests share the darkest secrets of their wicked pasts. And one by one, they start to die...

This is perhaps Agatha Christie's most famous work. Not only is it one of her bestselling novels, but it is one of the bestselling novels of all time. It was adapted for the the stage and then film...five separate times. She wrote the stage play herself after the success of the novel, and was involved in the original screenplay. To keep audiences on their toes, she modified the endings of each!

The performances will each open with two short comedies. The first, "In The Jar," is a fun, quirky and poignant show about bugs being trapped in a jar. The second, "A Case of Anxiety," is a hysterical look into a reality where the worst case scenario always happens. The main character, which lives a dull and boring life in constant fear, is forced by his wife to step out of his comfort zone and live a little. Both shows are written by Mark Harvey Levine, who also scripted a previously performed HFCS show "Cabfare for the Common Man."

The three performances are on Friday, November 30th at 7PM, Saturday December 1st at 7PM, and Sunday at 2PM. There will be an intermission during each performance, and refreshments will be available in the cafeteria for purchase. Thanks to the support of the Hoosick Falls Central School, admission remains free for all. Please come out for one of the most brilliantly crafted and famous classic murder mystery of all time!
