ADAPT Raises Funds for Substance-Free After-Prom Celebration

HOOSICK FALLS, NY -- ADAPT, the Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Team of Hoosick Falls Central School Class of 2012 parents/guardians, is underway with its fundraising efforts to host the substance-free after-prom celebration on May 21-22, 2011. Many fundraisers are being planned, but the team kicks off with the sale of an April 2011 Prize Calendar filled with 30 prizes donated by local businesses (including haircare products from Artistic Hair Design valued at $75, a 30-minute massage from Julie Richard, an antique collectible car from NAPA, many gift certificates, and much more).

Calendars cost $10 each and are being sold by ADAPT committee members and Class of 2012 parents/guardians, at the Hoosick Falls Credit Union, at the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Irish Festival, and at other events throughout March. Each calendar sold will be assigned a number and on each day in April a number will be drawn -- number holders will receive the prize listed for that day and can win more than once during the month.

Other fundraisers being planned are a community breakfast, raffle of a bed system donated by WCW, Inc., family movie nights, local restaurant give-back nights, and much more. Please do your part as part of our community to provide a substance-free, memorable experience for the HFCS junior class.
