Local Girl Scouts Celebrate Girl Scout Week

On Sunday, March 6, 2011, 27 local Girl Scouts and their families kicked off Girl Scout Week with a special recognition by Father Tom Zelker and celebration at Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls.

The first Girl Scout meeting was held on March 12, 1912, and to observe this birthday troops around the country celebrate their togetherness and diversity. Girl Scout Week begins on Sunday and concludes on the following Saturday nearest to March 12.
