ADAPT Hosts Family Movie Night at HFCS

ADAPT is hosting its second Family Movie Night for children and their families on Saturday, May 7, 2011, from 4:00�7:00pm, in the Hoosick Falls Central School Junior-Senior High School Auditorium.

Showing will be Disney's Tangled. Admission to the film is FREE and doors open at 3:45pm. Food and drink will not be allowed in the auditorium, so we will have an extended intermission with food and drink items for sale to benefit ADAPT: nachos with cheese, hotdogs, popcorn, baked goods, water, juice, and candy; glowstick bracelets will also be for sale. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tangled is rated PG for brief, mild violence, and runs 100 minutes.

After receiving the healing powers from a magical flower, the baby Princess Rapunzel is kidnapped from the palace in the middle of the night by Mother Gothel. Mother Gothel knows that the flower's magical powers are now growing within the golden hair of Rapunzel, and to stay young, she must lock Rapunzel in her hidden tower. Rapunzel is now a teenager and her hair has grown to a length of 70 feet. The beautiful Rapunzel has been in the tower her entire life, and she is curious of the outside world. One day, the bandit Flynn Ryder scales the tower and is taken captive by Rapunzel. Rapunzel strikes a deal with the charming thief to act as her guide to travel to the place where the floating lights come from that she has seen every year on her birthday. Rapunzel is about to have the most exciting and magnificent journey of her life.

ADAPT, the Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Team, is a group of parents/guardians raising funds for and hosting the safe, substance-free after-prom celebration for the Hoosick Falls Central School Class of 2012 and their guests.
