Local Girl Scouts Collect Food for Pantry

On Saturday, April 16, 2011, local Girl Scouts collected 960 pieces of food being donated by local residents. This amount of food was added to the 39 pieces they had already collected at a previous event and $13 in monetary donations, which will go to purchase food at $.16 per pound from the regional foodbank.

Local scouts participate in this food drive annually and are please to report this is one of their best collection yet. They are very thankful to the community for all their support of them and the food pantry.
