For those of you who are returning, you are well aware of the level of competition and the layout of our event campus. For those of you who are new to our event, this should help prepare you for our fun-filled, highly competitive weekend.

Town Pool

All participants, parents, siblings, coaches, etc. will be welcomed to enjoy our town pool for a reduced cost of $3 per entry. The pool will be open to us all day Saturday. The adjoining field is for us to use as well, so bring your team tents, blankets and whatever else you feel that would make your weekend more enjoyable. There are some baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts and a playground on the site as well, and are ours to use at our discretion. Our town takes great pride in this complex so please advise families to treat it accordingly. The village will have a few folks walking around admiring the level of competition and to help welcome all of you to our beautiful community as well as keeping an eye on behavior.

Lodging

Once again we will be utilizing Hoosac School and its campus as an inexpensive alternative. The school administration has allowed us to utilize their athletic fields and facility for any of those interested in camping. The athletic facility is equipped with a full-sized workout center, indoor pool, locker rooms, "gang" type showers, and restrooms. All athletic fields will be accessible to all campers. The dorms are available as well. The dorm rooms are very basic and you will be responsible to bring all linens. The dorms will be limited to the first 70 people and the cost for the entire weekend (2 nights) is $20.00 per room (max 4 per room). The contact person for reservations at Hoosac School is Mike Foster who can be reached at (508) 904-4091.

The costs are $15.00 for a non-customized shirt and $20.00 for a customized shirt. All orders and payment are due by July 5,2013.

We are trying to make this event as enjoyable as possible to all. If there are any special requests or conveniences that you may need, feel free to reach out to me and I will do what I can to accommodate you. Please be sure to read through the flyer again to make sure that you are clear on our rules. We are unable to change them, however, we will gladly take suggestions and attempt to apply them to next year's event. For additional and updated information, and a free agent list, please visit the web at www.matburn.com and click on the "Forums" tab, scroll until you find the thread for the duals "NEYD-RIOT IN THE RINK SLATED FOR 7/27-28."

Last, but definitely not least....As I have done in the past, I will have a benefit this year to help support an individual that has come across some hardship. My choice this year is Mr. Scott Kropman. For those of you who do not know Scott, he is the proud father of 8 from Penfield, NY and had an unfortunate diagnosis of Cancer in November. Scott and I have children (Max & Matthew) that are of the same age and have shared opposite corners of the mat on several occasions. Due to some harmless banter between Scott and I on the website Matburn.com, this very event emerged. I owe the success of this event to my friend Scott. With this being our focus this year, the Hoosick Falls Wrestling Club will make an initial $100 donation, and will also donate a portion of the event profits to the Kropman family. We will also choose one athlete at the conclusion of our event to receive the "Scott Kropman Never Give Up Award." I encourage and challenge all teams participating to help support Scott and his family during his fight. The past two recipients of our efforts have made 100% recoveries through all our thoughts and prayers, and I plan on going 3-0 this year. Please seriously consider making a donation. Thank you on behalf of the Kropman family!

See you in July!

Sincerely,

Coach LaPorte
