Dear Town Supervisor Surdam:

Enclosed is a Report of Examination for the Town of Hoosick prepared by the Office of the State Comptroller. A copy of the report has also been mailed to the person responsible for filing such report and making it available for public inspection.

The examination was made, and report prepared, in accordance with Article 5, Section 1 of the State Constitution, and the authority granted to the State Comptroller by Article 3 of the General Municipal Law (GML).

A written corrective action plan (CAP) that addresses the findings and recommendations in this report should be prepared and filed within 90 days. For more information on preparing and filing your CAP, please refer to our brochure, Responding to an OSC Audit Report, which you received with the draft audit report. If you submitted a written audit response to this report and have indicated that it is also intended to serve as your CAP, you do not need to submit another CAP.
