On behalf of Southwestern Vermont Health Care’s physicians, nurses, and staff, I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of encouragement we have received from our community. Many have asked what is needed at this critical time, as our dedicated team works diligently 24/7 to care for patients with COVID-19.
In response, we have established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to help save lives and provide essential support to combat this pandemic, including:
- Purchasing of life-saving supplies, such as ventilators, respirators, additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Creation of negative pressure isolation rooms within the hospital
- Implementation of a surge plan to expand patient care areas, including a Respiratory Evaluation Center adjacent to our Emergency Room
- Support of our workforce in this time of distress
Our SVHC Auxiliary Board has generously agreed to match up to $100,000 in community donations.
Because events, including the Summer Gala, have been cancelled for the foreseeable future, giving now is the best way to aid the efforts of our exceptional clinical team at this very serious time of need.
Stay well, and thank you for doing all you can.
