The Town of Hoosick will be holding a Public Hearing on July 11, 2016 at 6:00 pm, at the Town Hall, located at 80 Church Street, Hoosick Falls, NY.

The Village and Town intend to submit a Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The types of activities eligible under the CDBG program include Planning, Public Facilities, Public Infrastructure and Economic Development. The Village and Town are eligible to apply for a maximum of $50,000 in planning grant funding.

The purpose of the public hearing is to furnish citizens with information concerning the amount of CDBG funds available and the range of activities eligible for funding under this program. A brief description of the application process, the timeline for accepting applications and the anticipated schedule for award announcements will be provided. There will be an opportunity for citizens to ask questions and to make suggestions concerning the use of grant funds prior to the submission of the application. The public is urged to attend.

The public is also invited to submit written comments, which should be directed to the attention of the Supervisor Surdam, Town of Hoosick, 80 Church Street, P.O. Box 17, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090.
