Bennington ended 2017 with a wonderful winter wreath workshop. You can see some of the handiwork of our attendees below. Some interesting facts were also brought to our attention this December. First, the Christmas tree may have been invented by a German combatant in the Battle of Bennington. Slightly less controversially, the founder of entomology in North America was also one of the Bennington Germans.

We write you on the ninth and hope that you will be able to attend two of our previously announced events this week. Tomorrow, join us at Brown's Walloomsac Taproom for a discussion of Gavin Watt's Rebellion in the Mohawk Valley: The St. Leger Expedition of 1777. This Saturday, we are showing a movie related to the Revolutionary War at the Caretaker’s House (30 Caretakers Road) at 5:00 PM. This one is in color, folks! Come out and enjoy this screening with like-minded history buffs.

Finally, please take the time to look over the calendar below, now including some March events.
